“Cruisin’ Gang” was a 1983 Italo-Disco musical project, composed by Laura Fadinger, Ombretta Marsigli and Sabrina Morroya. The debut single was “Affair A Gogo” (1983), a medley of two great hits of that period, namely “Giddyap A Gogo” by Ad Visser and “Foreign Affair” by Mike Oldfield. The album was produced, arranged and mixed by Ennio Tricomi under the pseudonym Ennio Manuel. The Messina producer Tricomi had just founded, in collaboration with Romano Trevisani and Vince Vallicelli, the record production company "Cruisin' Records". For the recording of the song at the "Cruisin' Records" studio in Modena, a couple of female singers were sought to interpret the song. Enza Kucic was chosen for the singing part of Mike Oldfield and Ivana Spagna for the singing part of Ad Visser. Three dancers were subsequently selected to appear in various television appearances. The song was a resounding success, entering the Top 10 of almost all European charts. In the Italian Hit Parade, "Affair A Gogo" reached sixth position in the charts. In 1984, with the single "Chinatown", sung this time by Laura Fadinger, they managed to enter the "Billboard Hot 100" in the United States (position n.43), not an easy feat for Italo-Disco songs. The first album "Chinatown" of 1984, will also be the first 33 rpm released by the "Cruisin' Records" label.
