Schaltkreis Wassermann was a pioneering electronic music group formed by the Swiss Stella and Peter "PJ" Wassermann. Founded in 1979, the group presented a minimalist approach dictated by the available means: * ARP 2600 synthesizer, * ARP Avatar guitar synthesizer * Roland 100M modular synthesizer * Sequential Prophet V synthesizer of circuits, all held together by * Roland MicroComposer MC4 capable of play four simultaneous monophonic synthesizers. The tape recording was performed with a TEAC 4track and subsequently with an Otari 8track tape machine. "Psychtron" is a cult album, released in 1982 on vinyl on its label, "Space-Records". It was a fantastic and very psychedelic period. Stella and PJ spent days, weeks and months in their studio exploring sound and consciousness creating "Psychtron". This album, made with very innovative sounds, showed much of what would become the mainstream of electronic music, techno, psy-trance and even pop music. "Psychtron" had an excellent hit in world sales and reached seventh place in the British charts of synthesizers in "Melody Maker". After this wonderful album, the couple of artists preferred to use other names such as "Eternal Bliss" and "Matterhorn" to sign the subsequent works.
