“Voyage” was a French funk/disco band, active between 1977 and 1982. The band consisted of André "Slim" Pezin (guitar/vocals), Marc Chantereau (keyboards/vocals), Pierre-Alain Dahan (drums /vocals) and Sauveur Mallia (bass), with British singer Sylvia Mason-James, who sang on the group's first two albums: Voyage (1977) and Fly Away (1978). Before forming the musical group "Voyage", Pezin, Chantereau, Dahan and Mallia, had already worked together in 1975 in a band called "VIP Connection" and released two disco singles: "Please Love Me Again" and "West Coast Drive ". Later they worked as session musicians or in live performances in France, with artists such as: Manu Dibango , Cerrone , Alec R. Costandinos & the Synchophonic Orchestra, Michel Sardou for Slim Pezin; Michel Legrand, Jean Musy, Bernard Lavilliers for Sauveur Mallia; Léo Ferré , Michel Delpech , Guy Béart or Johnny Hallyday for Marc Chantereau; Nino Ferrer, Jean-Claude Petit and Stéphane Grappelli. The band's greatest success "Voyage" was the single "Souvenirs" of 1978, while the two albums "Voyage" (1977) and "Fly Away" (1978), reached the first position in the charts on the "Billboard US Hot Dance Club play”. Pierre-Alain Dahan became the lead singer over the next two years and the group changed their musical genre from disco to pop. After the breakup of the band "Voyage", the members of the group worked separately with a number of singers, including Françoise Hardy , Alain Chamfort , Mylène Farmer , Guesch Patti , Jean-Louis Murat. Pezin in 1986 worked on the soundtrack of the French film "Betty Blue" and in 1987 produced the French hit "Carressé Mwen" sung by Marijosé Ali. Sauveur Mallia worked on several film soundtracks including "Moonstruck" (1987) with Cher and "Breakfast of Champions" (1999) with Bruce Willis.
