"T-Connection" was a funk and disco musical group founded in Nassau (Bahamas). The band consisted of brothers Theophilus "T" Coakley and Kirkwood Coakley (bass and drums), David Mackey and Monty Brown (guitars), and Anthony Flowers (drums and percussion). In 1976, after relocating to Miami, Florida, the band released their first album on the Dash/TK Records label. Between 1977 and 1979 they reached the Top 10 on the "Billboard Hot 100" and the "US Hot Dance Music" with five different singles. Their biggest hit was "Do What You Wanna Do" which reached #1 in the US and #11 in the UK. The number one hit in dance clubs was the 1977 single "At Midnight" (#3 US Dance). The other 3 singles that reached the US Hot Dance Top 10 were "Disco Magic", "On Fire" and "Let Yourself Go". The group disbanded in the early 1980s after signing with Capitol Records and releasing four albums.
