“S.S.O.”, acronym of “The Soul Sensation Orchestra”, are a Funk/Soul band from Belgium from the 70s, made up of Belgian and American musicians. Their first single "Tonight's The Night" from 1975, was arranged by Belgian composer, saxophonist and producer Ralph Benatar (member of "Black Blood"). The song was written and performed by the American singer Douglas Lucas. Two more albums followed before the breakup of the band: "Give A Damn" (1976) and "Disco Soul Roots" (1977). In 1978, part of the musicians of this project participated in Patrick Hernandez's hit single "Born To Be Alive".
