“Pink Project” was an Italian musical project and group founded by the former “Kano” Stefano Pulga (composer, keyboardist and producer), Luciano Ninzatti (guitar), Ellade Bandini (drums) and Pier Michelatti (bass) coordinated by sound engineer Massimo Noè. In the first months of 1982, Pulga and Ninzatti, both deejays, realized that two very successful songs of that period (Another Brick in the Wall (Part II) by Pink Floyd and Mammagamma by Alan Parsons Project) had the same lines and thought to make a medley song. In those years, no type of sampler existed and therefore the musicians, also to avoid copyright problems, had to play and sing the entire two songs in the recording studio. For the female voices Linda Wesley, Rossana Casale and Naimy Hackette were called. The single was called “Disco Project” and achieved enormous success in Italy and Switzerland, reaching 4th place in the Hit Parade. The success of "Disco Project" forced them to appear on many television shows and the band decided to appear in hooded black clothes, taking up the theme adopted for the cover of the original single. A small group of children were also present in the television performances to film Alan Parker's film "Pink Floyd - The Wall". The following year they tried again with a single entitled "B-Project", a medley of the very famous songs "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson and "Jeopardy" by the Greg Kihn Band. This single, dated 1983, was published by "Baby Records", recorded and mixed at "Montello Studios" and managed to enter the Top 10 of the best-selling records in Italy. The male voice of the project is that of Silvio "Silver" Pozzoli.
