“Musique” was a musical project created by American record producer and arranger Patrick Adams. Patrick Peter Owens Adams was born in New York (United States) on March 17, 1950 and worked for the main American record labels such as "Salsoul Records" and "Prelude Records". In 1978, disco-funk group Musique recorded their first album as a low budget project at Blank Tape Studios. The band consisted of five female singers: Christine Wiltshire, Angela Howell, Gina Taylor Pickens, Mary Seymour Williams and Jocelyn Brown. The album “Keep On Jumpin' ” only contained four songs. Due to the overtly sexual lyrics, the single "In the Bush" was banned by many radio stations and precisely because of the limited airplay, the song initially did not reach the top of the charts. The second single "Keep On Jumpin'" became an instant hit reaching number one on the "Disco" and "Hot Dance Club Play" charts. After this resounding success, Jocelyn Brown, Angela Howell, Gina Tharps continued their careers as soloists while Christine Wiltshire in 1983 sang the song "Weekend" by "Class Action". In the second album "Musique II", released in 1979, the band was formed by Mary Seymour, Denise Edwards and Gina Taylor. In his long musical career, Patrick Adams has won 32 gold and platinum albums.
