"Monsoon" was an English pop music band formed in the early 1980s. The group was formed by singer Sheila Chandra, record producer Steve Coe and guitarist Martin Smith. In 1982, their single "Ever So Lonely" reached twelfth on the UK Singles Chart. Due to differences with their production company "Phonogram Records", Monsoon broke up in that same year. Sheila Chandra began a solo career, Steve Coe continued to write and produce his albums, as well as Martin Smith, under the name of "Ganges Orchestra". Only in 1983 the Phonogram released the album "Third Eye" album where there was the single "Wings Of The Down" which in a very short time became a cult for all lovers of Afro 80s music. Often the song was used as an opening theme in the various rooms.
