Lucia Montanari, known as Lucia, is a
Venezuelan singer born in Valencia (State of Carabobo) on October 15, 1968.
From a very young age she had a passion for singing and formed a duo with her
sister Paola Montanari. She studied music at the "Sebastian Echeverria
Lozano" School in Valencia (Venezuela). From 1978 to 1980 she was a piano
teacher at the "Manuel Leoncio Rodriguez" music school. In January
1980 she wrote his first composition: a piece dedicated to the Virgin Mary
entitled "La Mujer Sencilla" made for the Christian musical group
"Somos Iguales", of which she was a member. In 1980 she moved to Italy
(his family is Italian) and released three highly successful singles: "Que
Belleza" (1984), "Marinero" (1985), and the Madonna cover
"La Isla Bonita" (1986). In the 90's she returned to Venezuela and
sang backing vocals in Ilan Chester's band "Contigo". In 1993 she
made her debut as a leading actress in the musical "Has Nacido Ya".
From 1994 she was a music teacher at the "Colegio Cristo Rey". Lucia
currently lives in Lugo di Romagna (Italy).
