“Logic System” is a musical project created by Hideki Matsutake. Hideki Matsutake is a Japanese composer, arranger and programmer born in Yokohama (Japan) on August 12, 1951. Matsutake became passionate about synthesizers after hearing Wendy Carlos's “Switched-On Bach” during the 1970 Expo in Osaka. In June 1971, at the age of 19, he worked as an apprentice to the composer Isao Tomita. In this circumstance, Matsutake had the opportunity to manage one of the few Moog III-P synthesizer units in Japan. In 1974, he founded his own company called “Musical Advertising Corporation (MAC)” and began his involvement with artists such as Yoshitaka Minami and Akiko Yano. After participating in the recording of the album “Thousand Knives” (1978) by Ryuichi Sakamoto, he joined the group “Yellow Magic Orchestra” as a sound programmer from 1978 to 1982. In 1981 he formed “Logic” together with Makoto Irie and Ryo Kawakami System”, with which he participated in various tours in Asian countries. Throughout his long career he recorded music for cinema and television. Today Matsutake is the general director of Japan Synthesizer Professional Arts (JSPA).
