Linda Jo Rizzo is an American singer, songwriter and producer, born on April 01, 1955 in New York. Linda grew up in New York but has Italian roots (her grandparents were Sicilian). At 18 she began working as a photo model in New York, then moved to Milan where she worked as a model for various print and television advertisements. It was in Milan that Linda established her first contacts in the world of music by collaborating as Adriano Celentano's backing vocalist. After living a couple of years in Lisbon, where she was named "Model of the Year" by the fashion magazine "Mulher d'Hoje", at 23 she returned to New York to study food science in college. For a short time she ran her own business as a nutritional consultant and speaker for a large vitamin company in San Francisco. In an Italian restaurant in New York, she met the musician and producer Bobby Orlando “Bobby O”, who after a studio audition, asked her to join his girl group “The Flirts”. The single “Passion” reached the Top 10 in Germany and Switzerland. After touring with "The Flirts", she moved to Munich, Germany in 1985 and began a solo career. His hits include: “Fly Me High” (1985), You're My First You're My Last I've Got The Night” (1986), Heartflash (1986), Perfect Love (1987), Passion (1988 ) and Keep Trying (1989). In her career, Linda has published and produced over 20 records and CDs with well-known producers including: Fancy (Lady of Ice), Glen P. Stone ("Julian" by Mandy Winter, Joe Kleindienst (Saragossa Band), Mino Siciliano (La Bouche ) and La Bionda (Vamos a la Playa, One For You-One For Me). She is currently invited and participates as a guest in large and small events throughout Europe appearing in numerous television programs. Linda has sung as an opening act or co- protagonist alongside stars such as: George McCrae, Carl Douglas, Jürgen Drews, Waterloo & Robinson, Bonnie Tyler, Albano, The Platters, Percy Sledge, Dieter Bohlen, Trini Lopez, Haddaway, The Weather Girls, Roland Kaiser, Heino, CC Catch and many other famous musicians.In 2007, she made her acting debut in the German film “AstroEuros”.
