Jesse Green, born Locksley Alphonso Green, is a Jamaican disco musician born on 5 July 1948 in the parish of St. James, Jamaica. During his youth, he attended Denham Town Primary School and became passionate about music through listening to sound systems, particularly the one belonging to Earl Barrett. His musical career began as a member of the "Pioneers", then he played drums with Jimmy Cliff in the 1970s, recording singles such as "Locks Lee", before embarking on a solo career in 1976. His greatest international success was achieved with the song "Nice and Slow". Subsequently, he performed two more hits, "Flip" and "Come With Me", but later lost popularity in the music world. Jesse Green has continued to work in the music industry, participating in several projects and collaborations over the years.
