Biography Of Ivan (Singer)

Juan Carlos Ramos Vaquero, aka "Iván", is a Spanish singer born in Madrid (Spain) on July 17, 1962. Iván's musical career began thanks to the meeting with Joaquín Luqui and singer Toni Genil, who quickly understood the Juan Carlos' enormous potential and introduced him to the disco world. In 1979 he participated in a charity festival of the "Red Cross" at the invitation of Luis Zarza and was noticed by the Cuban producer, singer and composer of the "CBS" Oscar Gómez. The debut took place in 1979 with the single "Sin amor" and a few months later the first album of the same name was released. For the promotion of the first album, the record company spent seven million pesetas. Ivan's first live performance was Saturday 9 February 1980. Songs such as "Sin amor", "Por una vez más", "Te agradezco" and "Te quiero tanto" made it very popular with the public. Its greatest success was thanks to the producer Pedro Vidal, who in the 1984, with the single "Fotonovela", made him enter international markets.
