Fern Kinney was born in Jackson (Mississippi) United States on July 11, 1949. In the early 1970s she began working as a musician and singer and was part of the group "The Poppies" with Dorothy Moore. Among the songs he had played in those years, there was one he particularly liked "Groove me" by King Floyd. In 1979 he decided to record a different version by changing the rhythm and transforming it into a disco version. "Groove Me" reached sixth on the Billboard Dance Chart. From the same 1979 album we also remember the other great success "Baby Let Me Kiss You".
