“Clio” is an Italo-Disco musical project created in 1984 by Roberto Ferrante. Roberto Ferrante was born in Naples on March 28, 1965 and studied piano and drums at the Naples Conservatory. In the late seventies he began playing in some youth electronic music bands. In 1983 he signed his first contract with a record company: "Best Records". The first released record “Pineapples-Come On Closer” was a big hit in American and European underground clubs. In 1984, the debut of the "Clio" project with the publication of the single "Eyes" sung by Maria Chiara Perugini. The song "Faces" was released the following year on the Crash label (Discotto Productions). The single went almost unnoticed and didn't get the success it deserved. To date, this rare vinyl sung by Maria Chiara Perugini is considered by many to be one of the best Italo-Disco songs ever. At the end of 1998, Roberto Ferrante founded "Planet Records" based in Naples. Subsequently he opened two more offices: in Miami (Florida) and in the Dominican Republic. In the summer of 2003 Roberto Ferrante launched on the Italian market "Obsesion" of the group "Aventura" (Platinum record and one of the best-selling records in Europe in 2003). From 1984 to 2014 Ferrante produced and remixed more than one hundred and seventy records (including albums and singles), collaborating with Italian artists such as Article 31, 99 Posse, Prozac+, Adriano Celentano, Gerardina Trovato and Ambra Angiolini.
