Marc Cerrone is a French musician and record producer born in Vitry-Sur-Seine on May 24, 1952. The son of an Italian emigrant, Marc began playing drums at the age of twelve. At seventeen he formed his first band: the "Kongas". They initially performed in the Club Med villages and then landed at the famous “Papagayo” nightclub in Saint-Tropez. In 1974, "Kongas" released their first album which included their most successful single: "Anikana-O". In 1977 Cerrone decided to debut as a soloist with “Love In C Minor”, ​​produced in collaboration with Alec R. Costandinos. The record became popular in the United States, selling over three million copies and the following year the second album signed with Don Ray will be released: "Cerrone's Paradise". In 1977, Cerrone decided to come out with a new style and with new melodies; “Supernature” will become his biggest international success. The album sold eight million copies and won five "Grammy Awards". In the eighties he founded his own record label, Malligator, with which he will produce many successful artists and all his future works.
